Sacred Ground Church exists to cultivate a Christ-centered, creation-honoring faith that nurtures spiritual healing, practices radical welcome, and inspires loving action in the world.

We seek to follow Jesus by:

Radical Welcome

We believe every person bears the image of God. All are welcome here—without exception—regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, race, ability, background, or belief. Belonging comes before agreement.

Creation as Sacred

The earth is not a commodity but a gift. We honor creation as part of God’s ongoing revelation and commit ourselves to stewardship, sustainability, and care for the land and all living things.

Following Jesus

We seek to follow the way of Jesus—loving our neighbors, practicing compassion, forgiving generously, and standing with those on the margins. Faith is something we live, not just something we say.

Justice with Humility

We believe God’s love calls us toward justice, mercy, and repair. We listen first, learn continually, and act with humility as we work alongside others for a more just and compassionate world.

Community over Certainty

We value honest questions, thoughtful dialogue, and shared discernment. Faith grows best in community, where doubt is welcomed and curiosity is honored.

Simplicity and Presence

We practice a slower, simpler way of being church—making room for silence, reflection, and attentiveness to God, one another, and the world around us.

Hope Rooted in Action

We trust that love is stronger than fear and that small acts of faithfulness matter. We seek to embody hope through service, generosity, and care for those who are hungry, unhoused, or overlooked.

Sacred Ground Church was founded in 2026 by Pastor Mark David Albertson and his wife Kaia. Mark had been in ministry for many years, first as Executive Director of Christian Conciliation Service of Puget Sound, then as Associate Pastor of Mountain Vineyard Christian Fellowship, then serving as Faith Formation Coordinator at New Song Church in Henderson, Nevada. Both Mark and Kaia have wanted to get back to the northwest, so, following “retirement” they purchased Crescent Moon Farm where they grow giant sequoia trees for sale to nurseries, and raise chickens for eggs, goats for milk and bees for, you know, honey! They love ministry, love the outdoors, and combined them to plant Sacred Ground Church.

We offer services once a month on the farm, weekly Bible studies and lots of outdoor activities including hikes, camping, trail cleanup and more.
